The course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and tools to lead projects effectively, fostering a mindset of innovation and strategic thinking in line with the NEXUS Agenda’s objectives.
At the course end, each Learner will be able to:
Session 1: Overview of the NEXUS Agenda (3 hours)
Discuss the goals, significance, and impact of the NEXUS Agenda in the port industry. Review the role of innovative technologies in driving the Green and Digital Transition.
Session 2: Advanced Technologies in Project Management (3 hours)
Explore the roles and benefits of AI, machine learning, cloud, and edge computing, 5G/6G networks, blockchain, robotics, and automation in project management. Case studies on technology application in port management projects.
Session 3: Data-Driven Project Management (3 hours)
Teach data management using the NEXUS Open Data Collaboration Platform. Practical exercises on using data analytics and predictive modelling in project scenarios.
Session 4: Ensuring Project Security and Transparency (3 hours)
Discuss the importance of data security and project transparency. Hands-on activities with blockchain for project tracking and smart contracts.
Session 5: Robotics, Automation, and Project Execution (3 hours)
Discuss integrating and managing robotics and automation in projects; Case studies on deploying innovative hardware assets in the port industry.
Session 6: Managing Federated Applications and Services (3 hours)
Strategies for managing the lifecycle of digital products and services; Workshop on aligning project objectives with market strategies.
Session 7: Leading Innovative Projects and Managing Change (3 hours)
Develop skills for leading projects, managing change, and stakeholder engagement; interactive exercises on decision-making and guiding digital and green transitions.
Session 8: Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance (3 hours)
Techniques for identifying and mitigating risks in technology projects; Overview of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements in the port industry.
Session 9: Course Review and Group Discussions (3 hours)
This course is designed to offer a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to lead technology-driven projects effectively in the port industry. The program includes interactive sessions, practical exercises, and case studies to reinforce learning and encourage the application of new skills in participants’ work environments.
