This course aims to prepare learners with tools that will enable them to take a comprehensive look at the business from the point of view of processes. Working at the process level is usually one of the first steps in digital transformation projects, as it promotes the optimization of resources and the reduction of waste, while establishing the basic pillars for digital transformation. Therefore, in line with the objectives of the NEXUS Agenda, this course aims to sensitize trainees to process-oriented thinking, enable them to increase the value of processes through the use of mapping and analysis tools, while preparing them for the “journey” of digital transformation. From a more theoretical perspective, this course will cover the main pillars of digitalization, the impact of analyzing and mapping processes in the digital age, and Process Management itself in its operational, administrative, and management aspects. From a practical perspective, the course will cover the methodologies, methods, and tools that enhance the analysis and design of processes using the standard BPMN 2.0 notation, providing the trainee with knowledge of the BPMN notation and the use of CASE tools for Business Process Management in the context of digital transformation projects.

This course is aimed at technicians, engineers, process managers, and participants in digital transformation projects with roles in the operational and administrative areas of the organization. Process operatives, process managers, and process automation teams can also benefit from this training.

Understand the dynamics and challenges of a digitalization process;

  • Understand the concepts related to Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Business Process Management Systems (BPMS), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA);
  • Understand the dynamics of processes in their different aspects, from discovery, through representation/mapping, to management and automation;
  • Understand the techniques that enable process discovery and communicate requirements to the development team in a process-orientated language;
  • Identify the essential elements in processes (process requirements) for their representation;
  • Design processes according to the BPMN2.0 notation;
  • Document existing processes based on the BPMN2.0 notation, taking advantage of the language notation and the semantics associated with its use;
  • Support a team developing technological solutions, transmitting the essential elements for dematerializing, automating or digitalizing processes.
